The McCook Post No. 34 G.A.R. Civil War Memorial was erected for fellow Civil War soldiers in 1910 by the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) at the GAR Post Number 34 in Lamar, MO. The post was named after Union General Alexander McDowell McCook.
